Does Installation of Front Runner Slimsport Platform Rack Require Modification on 2025 Crosstrek

Question:
Will the “front runner slimsport platform rack. Fixed mount -58” long x 45-1/8” wide” fit my subaru 2025 crosstrek base model without any modification? I have read some places that it needs some modification but I am curious if it will fit on to my vehicle without any modification.

Hey Erich! The Front Runner Slimsport Platform Rack # FR65VV uses the fixed mounting points on the roof of your 2025 Subaru Crosstrek. However, you will have to remove the factory rails and drop the roof lining as seen in the attached picture. The full set of instructions is linked further down on this page. I don't know that I would call it modification but it isn't exactly a quick and easy bolt-on installation.
If you aren't comfortable messing with the roof lining I would take it to a professional so you don't mess it up on your new Crosstrek.
