Bike Rack for 2 Lectric 2.0 E-Bikes on 5th Wheel

Question:
Hello, I’m looking for a bike rack I can use on the rear of my Fifth Wheel RV. I have two Lectric 2.0 and I am interested in the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack TH903202. This is for 2 Electric Bikes and Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack. But I noticed in the descriptions it shows that the are not compatible with RVs. Is there a reason why it’s not or can you recommend one similar with the same features?

Hey Greg! The reason why the bike racks you mentioned aren't compatible is they aren't strong enough. It takes a certain level of construction to hold up to the additional bumps on the back of a 5th wheel. These companies test all of their racks to make sure they're properly rated.
The closest option to the EasyFold and Destination is the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY64FR. This is rated for 5th wheels and can hold bikes up to 80 lbs. It also uses padded clamps to keep the bikes secure which is great for all frame types. The weight of the rack itself is higher at 63-1/2 lbs but that is expected with the sturdier construction to give it the 5th wheel and motorhome rating.
