Hey there Nancy,

Happy to get you the most cost effective parts so you can get your 2001 Mazda Miata flat towed behind your 2021 Winnebago Travato. Here is what you are going to need:

- Base Plate: Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 711-4

- Tow Bars: We have reached out to Roadmaster in the past about the tow bars for the 2001 Mazda Miata, they do not recommend a coupler style tow bar like the # RM-501 because it is going to put too much weight on the front of the Miata, instead you will want a receiver mount, so I recommend our etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plates - RV Mount - 6,000 lbs # e44ZR. The great thing about these tow bars is that it comes with the bar needed for the crossbar style baseplate, and the safety cables as well, so 2 less things to add to the list!

- Wiring: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267, and Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 (this will ensure your battery is not dead when you arrive to your destination).

- Braking System: I am going with the one you were already looking at as it is a great braking system that will work with all different kinds of brakes, the Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Preset # HM39494.

You will need to check your owners manual to see if there is any fuses that need to be pulled while flat towing. Also, you will need a 12 volt outlet (what we used to call the cigarette lighter) for the braking system. Even with the charge line kit you might want to hard wire one to your vehicle battery because sometimes the braking system can drain your battery faster than the charge line can charge it, for that you will want the 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps # RM-9332.

You are going to need a high low adapter like the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches - 4" Rise/Drop - 10K GTW, 400 lbs TW # RM-048-4 to get you at even towing. In order for me to know how much of a drop you need I will need some measurements from you. I included a picture of where the baseplate will mount on the Miata, on flat ground you will need to measure from the ground to the middle of where the brackets are (I put yellow boxes around them so they are more visible), then also on level ground you will need to measure from the ground to the center of your receiver on the back of the 2021 Winnebago Travato 59K. If you could please comment those measurements below, I can ensure we get you the correct one.

I included a link to find an installer in your area, as well as a great help article on flat towing.

I am totally digging your set-up. The Miata is such a fun sporty car to flat tow! This might be a little bit of an information overload, if you have any questions about any of the products, please ask away. That is what I am here for =) Are you new to the flat tow world, or just getting a different vehicle set-up?
