Can the Furrion Chill Cube Be Used W/ an Existing Heater

Updated 10/29/2025 | Published 03/01/2025

Question:

I currently have a Furrion A/C that controls my propane heater. I am wanting to upgrade to the Chill Cube. Is there a way to still control the heater?

Yes there is Ryan! To my knowledge as long as you use the Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Air Distribution Box, Thermostat # FR69TD which includes a thermostat you'll be able to use that to control your heater as well.

This kit also includes an air distribution box and the mounting hardware for install. What kind of trailer do you have? Any trips planned this year? Feel free to let me know if there is anything else I can do for you, and I'd be happy to help!

Hey Ryan, how did the upgrade to the Furrion Chill Cube work out for controlling your propane heater? It’d be great to know if the thermostat handled both systems smoothly. Your update could make it easier for others planning the same swap.

@LazerS the upgrade with the thermostat works great. Haven’t had any cold nights yet but we did test run the heater and have ran it this week to prepare for colder weather.

@RyanT Glad to hear it! Are you a cold weather camper? I have a lot of Russian heritage so I am definitely a winter person and the cold makes me happy. : )

@LazerS I wouldn’t say a cold weather camper. I’m a full timer who is in the south where our summer temps go as high as about 105 and our winter temps usually get a couple of weeks in the single digits and sometimes a few days just below zero.
