Hello Herb,

It's been a while, thanks for writing in.

The short answer is no, the Micro-Air EasyTouch 353 is not currently compatible with the Furrion Chill Cube ducted system like the one included with # FR99TD. The Chill Cube is a newer, variable-speed system that uses a proprietary communication setup between the air conditioner, control box, and thermostat. Because of that, it doesn’t operate on the same wiring and signaling as the older Furrion Chill systems that the EasyTouch 353 was designed to replace.

What this means in real-world terms is that even if you were able to physically connect the EasyTouch thermostat, it wouldn’t properly communicate with the Chill Cube control board. You’d likely lose key functionality like variable fan speeds, cooling modes, and system responsiveness, or the unit may not operate at all. The Chill Cube really depends on its matched controller and thermostat to function correctly.

If you’re planning to install # FR99TD, the best approach is to use the included Chill Cube controller and thermostat to ensure everything works as intended. If having WiFi control or app-based monitoring is important to you, one option some RV owners consider is running the Chill Cube on its own dedicated thermostat while keeping other compatible systems on a Micro-Air setup, but they won’t integrate together into a single control. If you like the idea of having both a wall-mounted thermostat and a handheld remote with the “Follow Me” temperature sensing feature, you’ll want to look at # FR69TD, which includes that setup for the Chill Cube system.

Are you getting your setup dialed in for summer camping, where are you headed to this time?
