Can Spring Perch of etrailer Axle part # e43SR be Moved
Updated 03/05/2025 | Published 02/28/2025 >
Question:
Ive got a tandem trailer I built about 25 yrs ago, and for reasons I cant recall, I only put brakes on 1 axle. I would like to replace that non-brake axle. Everything matches to your E43SR except the spring perches. My spring centers are 76. 3500 lb axle. Can you help me with this, or should I plan to have to move spring perches myself? Thanks!

Hey David, we can't move the spring perches of the axle part # e43SR so if this axle is what you need you'd have to do that yourself. Does your current idler axle have a brake mounting flange on it currently? If so, you could just swap the idler hubs to hub/drums and then put brake assemblies in them and you'd be set. 3,500 lb trailer axles?

Hi Jameson, Thanks for responding. No, my current Idler axle does not have a mounting flange. That was the first thing I looked at. Looks like I'll have to plan on moving the seats myself, which means I'll have to wait until my shop is built. Thanks, David
