How to Pick Out the Correct Replacement Steps for a 2017 Lance TC Truck Camper

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/27/2025

Question:

I recently bought a 2017 Lance truck camper. I am interested in purchasing a 3-step entrance instead of the 2-step that it came with. Any chance you have one or if not, where I might look to find one?

Hey Richard, so unfortunately we don't have that info handy but we do carry a bunch of 3 step RV steps that could work for you, it'd just be a matter of taking some measurements and comparing them to the steps.

For example, we have the TorkLift GlowStep Stow N' Go Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear # TLA7833 which has a 375 lb capacity, uses a 23" wide x 12-1/2" tall x 8-1/2" deep mounting bracket, and will work with an entry height of 23 1/2" to 34 1/2".

So to confirm if these'll work or not, you'd just need to measure your entry height as well as your mounting space. I've included an image of how you can do this so you can get a better idea.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and I'd be happy to help!

Hey Richard, did you get a chance to measure the entry height and mounting space on your Lance camper to see if the 3-step TorkLift GlowStep fit? Knowing what you found could help others looking to upgrade their camper steps too.

@LazerS I did. Had to get a 4 step. Still had to pay $300 to get it mounted, but it was worth every dollar to have the almost perfect entry to my Lance camper.
