Replacement 5-Lug Idler Hubs for 1992 Spectrum Boat Trailer with L44649 Bearings

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/20/2025

Question:

I need 2 hubs pre greased for a 1992 spectrum by bluefin trailer that holds a 1992 spectrum by bluefin aluminum 1709 boat.. It has a 3-1/2inch straight spindle with a 3-1/2inch hub height with two L44649 r bearings. It has 5 bolts that screw into the hub. They are 4 inches apart. The bearings have KYTO stamped on them, also HI-CAP and 1-X. I cannot find the axle capacity probably 1250 or 1750. I am looking for anything that will work Thanks

Hey Clyde, thanks for reaching out!

From everything you described you're needing the CE Smith Trailer Idler Hub Assembly w/ Case for 2.7K Axles # CE13315. This comes pre-greased and in a protective case for shipping.

The 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern is standard for this size axle so it may be that you just measured a little different on your end. If you check out the linked helpful article on bolt patterns you can verify whether or not what we have matches what you have.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey Clyde, how did the CE Smith pre-greased hub assembly work out for your Bluefin trailer? Did the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern line up once you double-checked the measurements? Your update could make it easier for others matching hubs to older boat trailers.

@JonG The pre-greased hub assembly for my 30 year old boat trailer worked great. installation was easy and I can pull my trailer with ease. I checked the bolt pattern using two different methods and ordered the 5 on 41/2 bolt pattern. Unfortunately it did not fit. I still have the hub assembly. I did learn a valuable lesson for someone with limited experience. After my miss measurements I purchased a bolt pattern to eliminate future mistakes.

@ClydeW Wait, what? Are you saying it fit the trailer okay but the bolt pattern didn't work? What did your bolt pattern end up being?
