Question:
I have a Phoenix 400 model 38-9440404 the serial 22-000526, I have been having issues with the jack taking the trailer down, it still works going up, but when I push the button to make it go down it beeps but doesnt do anything but if I push it twice it raises besides lowering, is there anything I can do to resolve this to get the jack to work going back down besides manually cranking it? Thank you

Hello Clint, thanks for getting in touch. With the Phoenix Electric Trailer Jack # UF38-944040, generally when the unit beeps and does not function properly, it is due to a low voltage situation. The first thing to do will be to check your battery and make sure it is fully charged and in good working order. Also make sure the jack is properly grounded. Check the jack wiring for any damaged or frayed wire that may be causing a short.
If this does not resolve the problem we could be looking at an internal issue like a problem with the motor which would mean time for a new jack. Try the steps above first and let me know how it goes. Reply below if you need anything else and I will get back to you.
