Will Straight Exhaust from 2011 Hyundai Veracruz Damage Thule Arcos Enclosed Cargo Carrier

Question:
Hello, thank you for taking my question. I am interested in the Thule Arcos Carrier. I have a 2011 Hyundai Veracruz. It has straight out exhaust below the rear bumper. what the exhaust cause a problem with this particular product the Stow away unit has a heat shell that you can purchase. Thank you.

Hey Richard! I'm assuming you have a setup just like the picture below. Even with that exhaust style you won't have a problem using the Thule Arcos # TH25YE. This sits a good distance out from the rear and also has a built-in rise on the shank to raise it up and out of the way from your exhaust. There may be some additional heat, just not enough to cause damage (unless you're hauling chocolate).
