Why Can't the Thule Acros Cargo Carrier Be Used w/ The Kuat Pivot 2

In an earlier QandA, it was stated by your expert that the Thule Arcos Enclosed Cargo Carrier will not fit the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away hitch. I already bought the Kuat Swing Away hitch from you and I’m looking to add the Thule Arcos. I can’t understand why these would be incompatible since the Kuat Swing Away should handle any 2 in - even if it includes the adapter to fit the 2 in receiver. May I ask you to clarify please? Thank you very much. BTW you folks are the greatest!

Hey Charles, thanks for the kind words, you're pretty neat too! But to answer your question, the reason is because the Kuat Pivot # PVD20B is not compatible with 1 1/4" accessories that use a 2" adapter - which is what the Thule Acros # TH25YE uses.
I'd recommend going with the 39x25 Inno Cargo Carrier with Removable Cargo Box for 2" Hitches # IN94MR instead which is designed for 2" receivers, has 11 cubic feet of storage, and a 150 lb weight capacity.
