How heavy is the complete hitch? And how heavy is the base. Do you have any ideas on how to get it into the back of the truck . 2022, ram, twenty five hundred six foot box limited edition longhorn. I dont know if itll fit or not. The back of the truck in the box it has five plugs.In holes, I guess thats where it would sit. I just bought the truck, so I dont know a whole lot about it. Its a lot to take in and can be very confusing at times. Thank you for any help that you can give me in this matter.

Hello John, thanks for reaching out. For starters, the B&W Companion hitch # BWRVK3600 you were looking at is the correct fit for your 2022 Ram 2500. As you said, it will install directly into the 5 holes or "factory puck system" as we call it.
Tho complete hitch weighs about 225 lbs. The head unit weighs about 70 lbs. It can easily be removed from the base which makes lifting a lot easier. The base is 155 lbs by itself.
As far as getting in into the bed, most of the time if you have an extra pair of hands to help lift it can be done without too much trouble. I have heard of people using an engine hoist or game hoist to lift the hitch. Usually though it can be done by just two people.
Also, you might want the Curt Wiring Harness # C56070 to add a 7-way hookup to the bed of your truck, if you don't have one there already.
