What is the Length of Shackles Included with Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit

Published 01/24/2025

Question:

Hi, First my rig is a 2024 Grand Design Imagine XLS 22MLE. I have read that the Dexter K71-653-00 will fit perfect whereas the MORRYDE MR27ZR may require some trimming? I see there is a reduced price K71-653-00 that is unused just with paint chips. can you verify that the shackle hangers with this have bolts that are 2.5inch apart? If so Ill get the complete dester kit at that reduced price any questions, please ask

Hey Frank, thanks for reaching out!

The shackle straps that come with the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00 measure 2-1/4" center to center for the bolt holes - this is the same for the regular kit as well as the kit we currently have listed at a lower price (which we do from time to time). A 1/4" difference between the shackles will be just fine so you can definitely use this kit.

When it comes to the trimming with the installation of the MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers # MR27ZR, this is only needed if your hangers are too wide (see attached photo). If you check out the MORryde qualification guide (see link below) it will show you what you need to check on your trailer to ensure the CRE3000 will fit.

It sounds like you're wanting to go with the Dexter kit, but if you have any additional questions or concerns about either kit please feel free to let me know!
