Can The etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar E38FV Be Installed Upside Down?

Can this be installed upside down? For example, if I want the knob on top, will it work properly?

Expert Reply:
Hey there Brock, great question! You can rotate the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Collar # e38FV 90 degrees so that the knob is on the right side, but you can't rotate it a complete 180 degrees. This is because the internal gate that tightens against the shank needs to be in one of the upper corners so that the force pushes the shank downward instead of upward. Check out the attached image from the instructions which outlines this.
