Question:
Interested in replacing a MOR/Ryde Part RPB72-1716 with a Reese Sidewinder Part RP77FR. I have a 2024 Chevy 2500HD short box. In addition to improving turning I would like to lower the front of the trailer. I have included a diagram of the needed measurements that will help me determine the king pin height. I called Reese several days ago but they have not returned my call. Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

Thanks for the drawing Chuck! I have attached a below a complete diagram for the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret item # RP77FR. This is every dimension we have for the pin box you are looking at. It should definitely help you determine the king pin height.

Hey Chuck, did the diagram for the Reese Sidewinder help you figure out the king pin height for your trailer? It’d be great to hear if it gave you the clearance and lower front end you were aiming for. Your update could make it easier for others working on a similar setup.
