IS THE camo9221 a three wire unit, like the dometic 3316410.012 unit? If so, I want one.

Hi Frank,
The Camco RV Single-Stage Heat and Cool Wall Thermostat # CAM09221 can be wired to a 3-wire system by using the terminal cross reference chart to determine which wire goes where. With how finicky Dometic's AC systems are you likely would communication errors with the controller if you try to use any other branded thermostat. The correct replacement for your outdated Dometic 3316410.012 thermostat would be the # DMC79FR.
I've attached wiring instructions/diagrams below for both the # CAM09221 and # DMC79FR to help you with the installation process.
