Will Removable 6" Wheel for Dutton-Lainson A-Frame Trailer Jacks Fit Bulldog Jack

Updated 11/18/2025 | Published 12/22/2024

Question:

I have a 2008 Featherlite all aluminum 24 foot car hauling enclosed trailer with a 2000 Bulldog A- frame Jack with a 6 inch castor that was bent down just above the wheel and needs replacing. The wheel on my Jack looks more like the Dutton-Lainson DL22539 and appears more robust than what you have listed for the Bulldog unit. I’d like the strongest wheel assembly available. The car hauler hauls full sized older cars from the 1940s-1960s which weigh 2800 to 3800 and the trailer weighs about 4200. Would the 22539 be a better wheel assembly for me and would it go on my Bulldog original Jack? Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim; as long as your Bulldog jack has a 2" inner tube diameter you can use the Removable 6" Wheel for Dutton-Lainson A-Frame Trailer Jacks # DL22539. This is slightly stronger with a weight capacity of 1,250 lbs. The same Bulldog # BD500245 for 2" tubes has a capacity of 1,200 lbs.

Hey Jim, how did the Dutton-Lainson wheel work out on your Bulldog jack for your car hauler? Your results could help others looking for a stronger caster setup for similar trailers.

@RobinHIt seems to be working fine. At first I was concerned that it might not be heavy duty enough( Featherlight 24 foot enclosed), but there is no evidence of problems. It is working well.
