Can Trailer 7-Way with Double Pins be Adapted to Single Pins
Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/28/2024 >
Question:
I have a 7 way double pronged trailer plug end. On my 21 ram I have read that I need to use a single blade male plug. Do you have an adapter to adapt what I have to the single 7 way blade?

Hey Taylor,
We have some single blade 7-Way connectors for your trailer, but you'll have to replace it completely with the 7-Way Round RV Style Trailer Connector # A7WCB. You'll need to cut off your current 7-Way and install this one in it's place. Just connect the wires per function and you'll be good to go.

Hey Taylor, how did things go after switching to the 7-way round RV-style connector on your trailer? Your results could really help others trying to match older plugs with newer truck connections.
