Air Compressor for Firestone Air Bags on Class C Motorhome That Holds Air Pressure

Updated 12/16/2025 | Published 11/18/2024

Question:

I have firestone air bags on my Class C motorhome. I want to add a compressor to keep the pressure consistent. Can I set the pressure to say 65 lbs, and will the compressor keep it there within a couple of lbs? Or is this a manual process? I do not want to have to keep adjusting it as I go up and down in elevation or outside temps.

Hi Russ; there are compressors that will hold the set pressure so you don't have to constantly monitor it and manually adjust. I recommend the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL74000EZ. This compressor will automatically maintain the air pressure you set within 3 psi. It also comes with a physical remote and can be controller via Bluetooth on your phone. It is a dual path system which will allow for side to side leveling which is especially nice to have with heavy slide-outs or a kitchen.

Hey Russ, how did the Air Lift WirelessAIR compressor work out for keeping your Firestone air bags at a steady pressure? It sounds like the automatic control could save a lot of manual adjusting. Your update could make it easier for others looking to keep their ride level on the road.
