Question:
this is likely a dumb question but I couldnt find it in the description. Is the tire and wheel balanced when it arrives? Part Number: AM32253DX

Expert Reply:
Not a dumb question at all Andrew, since we don't really touch on this in our description. The Loadstar ST205/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel # AM32253DX does come balanced in the manner that all trailer tires are balanced. We do not balance them here. What the manufacturer does is offset the high spot on the tire with the low spot on the wheel to balance them. Generally, trailer tires do not need to be balanced beyond this. I do know a lot of our customers will take them to a shop and have them balanced on a machine. This is more out of an abundance of caution/safety, and it not required in order to use the tires. You just need to make sure they are inflated to the proper PSI before you hit the road.
Adding balancing beads like part # CA83VR are a quick and easy way to help balance trailer tires without going to a shop.

Hey Andrew, how did things go with the Loadstar tire and wheel once you got them mounted? Did you end up using the balancing beads or just run them as they came? Your experience could help others deciding how to handle tire balancing on their trailers.
