When you’re logging long miles or towing at higher speeds, you want a tire that stays cool and steady. The Kenda Karrier KR53 radial trailer tire is Load Range C (6-ply) and handles up to 1,820 lbs at 50 psi. Its N-speed rating (87 mph) and computer-optimized tread design give it reliable traction and smooth tracking on wet or dry pavement. Both the tire and wheel meet DOT specifications, so you can hit the road knowing the setup is built for real-world hauling.
Salt spray, moisture, and road grime are no match for this wheel’s two-step finish. It starts with an e-coat primer, then gets a silver powder-coat layer to lock out rust. The modular steel design is sturdy and corrosion resistant, giving a clean look that stays sharp season after season.
Every part of this assembly is made to handle weight and heat without breaking down over time. The KR53 radial tire uses premium rubber compounds for long tread life and cooler running temperatures on extended trips. Its sidewalls are engineered for enhanced durability and ozone resistance, so the tire holds up even after years of exposure.
No need to piece together parts—this unit comes as a tire-and-wheel assembly designed for straightforward fitment. The 15" x 5" steel wheel uses a 5 on 5" bolt pattern, 1/2"-20 bolts, and a 3.19" pilot diameter, all sized to match common trailer hubs. With a wheel capacity of 2,200 lbs and a balanced feel on the road, it’s ready to bolt up and go to work from day one.
If the tire is damaged within the first year, Kenda replaces it at no charge. That kind of coverage makes it easy to head out knowing you’re backed by support that matches the product’s performance.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this Kenda carrier KR53 ST20575 R15 load range C radial trailer tire with this 15 inch silver mod steel wheel with the five on five inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is gonna be great for your stock trailers, utility trailers and campers. This KR 53 special trailer radial tire or st radial tire is low weight and it's gonna give you better fuel economy on longer trips. This is created specifically for trailers and this assembly is not intended for use on other vehicles.
The sidewalls have been engineered for enhanced durability and resistance to ozone exposure and the computer optimized Y tread design and premium rubber compound materials are gonna give you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. So as I said at the beginning of our time together and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST20575 R15, and the section width is 7.8 inches. The outer diameter when fully inflated is 26.9 inches. This is a load range C tire, meaning it has a six ply rating. The maximum load is 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI.
And this tire has a speed rating of N indicating a maximum speed of 87 miles per hour. Now this steel wheel with this modular design is sturdy and corrosion resistant. The wheel went through a two step finishing process that includes an e-coat primer and silver powder coat finish, and our stud holes here are beveled to help keep your wheel securely in place on the trailer hub, it's gonna eliminate the need to constantly re-tighten your lug nuts and the dimensions of our wheel. Looking at the diameter first, measuring bead seat to bead seat 15 inches in diameter and then the width of the wheel is five inches and our bolt pattern is five on five inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. Now the wheel capacity is gonna be 2,200 pounds. The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20. The center cap is sold separately, but if you decide to pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 3.19 inches. And this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications.
Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our brief look today. I do hope that our time together has been helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Tires look good, ride good and exceptional service! We initially ordered the wrong size, and Amy was able to get us what we needed the next day and returned the incorrect size. We will purchase from etrailer again.
Tire and rim is exactly what I needed and shipping was great and on time I would recommend this to anyone looking for tires

It's a spare tire so it fits and ships. Surprised it came in a box!
Tires were what I expected. As always, top notch customer service! Packaged really well! Tracking numbers were made available and shipment was on time!
Price was very competitive. Even better with free shipping. Quick ship and luckily I received it the next day
Seems like a good value, and good quality.
After a blowout on a rather old tire, I ordered a pair of brand new tires. Luckily I had a few days layover planned into my trip. This trailer doesn't see a lot of miles so I usually put used tires on it. I think these are the first new trailer tires I've ever bought in my life.

WOW! I have never seen a tire look like the one that blew! Glad you were able to get a new one :) We are here if you ever need anymore :)
Ordered three tires with 5 on 5 rims. Just mounted two and they look good. However, I struggled to mount the third and found it has a 5 on 4-1/2 rim. Looks like the tire and rim was improperly labeled. See attached pictures. Please tell me how you will correct this situation. Thank you.
I hit a curb and bent two rims on my 16” utility trailer. Tires were 11 years old so I decided to replace all 4. Found these. Great price. Ready to hit the road again.

Ouch! That doesn't like a fun experience to go through. I'm glad that the new tires are working out for you though! What kind of cargo are you usually hauling around?
So far the wheels and tires are working great! I've pulled the trailer about 1000 miles and it tows nice and smooth. The wheels bolted up perfect to my PJ utility trailer. Prior to installation I had a tire shop spin balance the wheels. I'm glad that I did, one wheel took 4 ounces to balance. Other than that I have no complaints and would recommend this setup.
