Recommended Glides For Loading And Unloading Your Snowmobile

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/16/2024

Question:

Is there anything I can do to get my snowmobile to slide on the trailer easier? The wood slats rot and warp over time making the floor of the trailer uneven causing the lugs to get stuck and I dont want to accidentally damage them.

Hey Paul,

It sounds like you're in need of some glides to give yourself a flat, smooth surface for the snowmobile to slide on and off. We offer a few different sizes:

Caliber Multi-Glides 8.38" wide x 60" long - QTY 8 # CA98TJ
Caliber MultiGlides 6-1/4" wide x 60" long - Qty 4 # CA26TJ

We also offer glides that can be used to form a curve with the Caliber FlexGlides # CA78TJ. Each glide is tapered and can click together with other glides to form the angle or length you need.

If you don't have sidewalls on the trailer you can go with Caliber's EdgeGuards # CA92TJ which combine both a glide and edge to help you easily load and unload your snowmobile without falling off the side of the trailer.

Hey Paul, how did the glides work out for making your snowmobile slide more smoothly on the trailer? Your update could make it easier for others dealing with warped wood floors.
