Hello Chris, thanks for reaching out. Based on my research, it looks like the AL-KO-7230 is a hub for a 3,500 lb axle with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. We do offer a replacement for this, and for that I recommend the following:

- Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3,500-lb Axles - 10" Diameter - 6 on 5-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKHD-655-35-K

Would the corresponding brake assembly be the AkEbrk-35R(L) -SA and the TRu89(79) FR?

@Chris Yes! Those are correct. The # AKEBRK-35-SA comes with a pair of brake assemblies. The TruRyde are also sold as a pair as part # TRU36FR. Between the two I would lean towards the TruRyde since they are self-adjusting and much more affordable than others.

@JesseM Got the first brake assembly installed and wired. When I hit the brakes on the truck, the brake lights work on the trailer, but I see nothing occurring with the brakes. Haven't installed hub yet, so I'm assuming I should be able to see the magnet move the pads. I'm on a 2024 Tundra which comes with an integrated brake controller and 7 way connector. The horse trailer only has a 6 pin (no center pin). Can you advise on this? Thanks Chris

@Chris Also, I have set gain to max and tried activating the brakes with the manual buttons on the controller, that doesn’t work either.
