How Can 12v FanTastic Roof Vent Be Wired In Place Of Rooftop AC Unit?

Question:
How can you wire a 12v fantastic vent fan to a 30 amp service . I want to install the 12v fan, but the vent is wired for an air conditioner.

Hello Gordon, thanks for getting in touch. Yes, you can run a 12v FanTastic Roof Vent # FV802250 on 30 amp service. It sounds like you are replacing your AC unit with a roof vent. If this is the case you will need to run new wires. For this, 14 gauge wire would be fine. You can wire directly to the battery or to a DC panel. Then just make sure the vent is grounded. You can run a wire down to the frame or if there is good metal for grounding closer to the vent you can use that.
