Expert Reply:

Yes, we do. There are 8-lug hubs and compatible electric brake kits for axles rated from 5,200 lbs all the way up to 12,000 lbs. For example the etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes # AKEBRK-7-SA are compatible with 8-lug hubs for 5.2K-7K axles such as part # AKHD-865-7-G-EZ-K. If you can tell me the weight capacity of your axle, I can absolutely confirm what parts you need.

The trailer we have is a custom built hydraulic boat trailer, so I don’t have a specific manufacturers axle. It’s a 2 3/4” axle 12,000 lb 8 lug hubs If you have the product specs/install manual for the 12k capacity I’d love to take a look and see if they would work. The trailer is built to primarily move boats up to 45 foot long around the boatyard Thanks

@Patrick We do offer brakes for the 12,000 lb axles, such as the etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes w/ Dust Shields - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-12. These are for a 12-1/4"x5" drum and the backing plate uses a 7 bolt pattern. Please confirm that this matches what you are looking for.

@JesseM These wheels on this trailer are an 8 lug hub pattern. I could take a photo and send if that would help.

@Patrick# AKEBRK-12 is a brake assembly. It can be used with a 12-1/4"x5" drum which are usually 8 lug hubs. The backing plate bolts to the brake flange using a 7 bolt pattern. You will want to check the backing plate and the drum dimensions to make sure they are a match. There is no way to add pictures to the comments on here.
