What Size Crossbars Will The Yakima ReelDeal Rooftop Fishing Rod Carrier Y04089 Fit?

Question:

Hi Can you tell me if either the Yakima Reel Deal or the Rhino Rack for 8 fishing rods will fit on the crossbars that came with my 2013 Nissan Armada ? I know the clamps are supposedly universal, but I wanted to check first, just in case. Thanks, Mike

Hello Michael, thanks for getting in touch. The Yakima ReelDeal Rooftop Fishing Rod Carrier # Y04089 will fit virtually any crossbar up to about 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" tall. We have yet to come across a crossbar it does not fit. The same goes for the Rhino-Rack Fishing Rod Carrier # RR574F. I am not sure of the exact dimensions of the crossbars on your Armada, but as long as they are no larger than 3-1/2" wide and 1-1/2" tall, you will be fine.

Between the two rod carriers you mentioned, personally I would go with the Yakima ReelDeal # Y04089. Yakima stuff tends to be better quality and more user friendly than Rhino Rack. Plus the Yakima has a lifetime warranty opposed to only a 5 year warranty on the Rhino.
