Question:
I currently have an Elite weight distribution hitch with a 2 shank. Im wanting to replace just the hitch using my equipment. So Im needing a 8 hitch with a 2.5 shank and 2 vertical. Im pulling a 26 ft travel trailer, Im thinking 14,000 lbs rating my tongue weight is 700lbs. What Im finding is that configuration but real heavy duty rating, way over what I need. My actual loaded trailer weight is under 10,000. Do you stock something that would work for me?. Regards JT.

Hi Jt; so you're looking for a replacement shank for your Elite weight distribution hitch that fits a 2-1/2" hitch correct? And you want the distance from the hitch pin hole to the adjustment holes to be to be 8" as well? I'm assuming when you say 2 vertical do you mean 2" wide where it fits in the channel on the head which is the standard.
If I'm right about what you're asking you can use the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 7" Rise, 3" Drop # EQ90-02-4700. This fits a 2-1/2" hitch, has your 8" measurement, and is the standard 2" wide for the WDH channel. This has a max rise of 7" and max drop of 3". The capacity isn't something to worry about as long as it is high enough for the trailer. Shank capacity does not impact the performance of the system so being overrated is fine. If you need a larger rise/drop the # EQ90-02-4900 is also available with a 10" rise/6" drop.
