Hey Chris,

You can flip the axle by just welding on new seat springs to the axle. Dexter has kits for this that include new u-bolts for 2-3/8" # K71-384-00 or 3" # K71-385-00 diameter axles. If you have a smaller axle just let me know and I can look up the parts you'll need.

I have. a 5 x 8 carry on utility trailer. the axle is 1,875 in outside diameter. I would like to flip it to raise the trailer. can you supply a kit or parts to do this?

@KenG are you sure it isn't 1-3/4"? We only have kits for the 2-3/8" and 3" but a standard 1-3/4" or 1-1/2" could be pieced together with spring seats and U-bolts. We don't have anything at all for a 1-7/8" axle.
