Does Etrailer Adjustable Hitch E66PR Fit 2024 Nissan Frontier With OEM Receiver?

Question:

Will the etrailer adjustable trailer hitch e66PR work in the rise position on my 2024 Nissan Frontier? I was told it may hit the bumper because the frontiers OEM hitch sits too far in.

Hey Jonathan, you are correct. The etrailer Adjustable Ball Mount # E66PR has been tested on a 2024 Nissan Frontier and because the hitch receiver sits too far inside (only 3" from hitch pin hole to bumper), this ball mount will hit the bumper when trying to line up the hitch pin holes for installation (see photo). You can use this in the drop position without an issue.

The aftermarket receivers available for the 2024 Frontier don't offer more clearance, so your only solution is to install a hitch extender like Curt Hitch Extender 8" Long # C45791 (this reduces hitch capacity by 25%) or to install a ball mount with a shank that has a hitch pin hole to ball mount distance greater than 3" like with Curt # C45900, which offers about 4-1/8" of clearance in that regard.
