How to Remove Cable Lock on Thule Helium Platform XT

Question:
Hi, I have this rack and cannot figure out how to pull out the bike cable lock and use it. Both locks seem stuck. I watched the video and he makes it look easy to pull out the cable lock. Is there a trick to it?

Hi Shannon; I'm sorry to say I don't really have any tricks for getting the cable lock out on the # TH53GC. Once it is unlocked you should be able to simply pull it out to use it as seen in the installation video below at the 3 minute mark. He does work it back and forth a little with his hand as he pulls it out so if you haven't tried that it may make it a little easier.

Hey Shannon, did working the cable lock back and forth on your Thule Helium Platform XT help free it up? It’d be great to know if that did the trick or if you found another way to get it moving. Your update could make it easier for others with the same rack.
