I have a Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW hitch and I think that I need a stiffer bar. Will a 131515 800lb Replacement Round Spring Bar for Reese Pro Weight Distribution System Item RP27KR fit my existing hitch?

I have a 28’ enclosed trailer with a GVWR of 9950 lb. and GAWR of 9950 lb. The trailer will be used to tow a race car and electric golf cart 100 miles round trip to the race track 2 to 3 times a month. I estimate that the cargo will weight around 4000 to 4500 lbs. I just used a crane scale to lift the front of the trailer and the tongue weight was 1300 lb. but it was loaded a little heavy in the front. I had bought a Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW from you guys but it is not taking the squat out of the truck. What would you recommend?

@BrianB That's a lot of tongue weight! No wonder your 6,000 lbs Reese Pro System item # RE34FR isn't working. It tops out at 600 lbs. There's no way to get that system up to the capacity you need. The 800 lbs bars item # RP27KR aren't going to get you there either and nothing higher is compatible. I recommend replacing it with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control item # EQ37140ET. This system works with tongue weights between 1,000 lbs - 1,400 lbs.

@JerredH Would the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 15,000 lbs GTW, 1,500 lbs TW - 1100 lbs item # C17501 work just as well?

@BrianB No, not as well as the Equal-i-zer item # EQ37140ET. Curt makes a bunch of great parts but their weight distribution systems like the Curt TruTrack item # C17501 are mid at best. They use smaller bars and thinner steel.
