What Trailer Hitch Will Fit The 2017 BMW X5 With M Sport Package?

Question:

I have a BMW X5 with the M Sport Package. The trailer hitch listings indicate either excluding M sport package or M models or M models only. Will the M models only also fit the M sport package?

Hello Kevin, thanks for reaching out. As far as the 2017 BMW X5, fitment really depends on what hitch you are looking at. For example, the Curt Class 3 Hitch # 13077 fill fit both the M models and non-M models. So in other words, it fits all models of the 2017 X5.

Then on the other hand we have the Draw-Tite # 75600 you were looking at. This will NOT fit models with the M Sport package. It is for non-M models only.

My recommendation for your 2017 BMW X5 M Sport is the etrailer Class 3 Hitch # e84AR. This is virtually identical to the Curt hitch I mentioned, only it uses a more durable matte black power coating which will do better at resisting scuffs, chips and scratches. Also our etrailer brand hitches are usually a bit more affordable than the Curt.
