Is Trailer Tire Size 4.00-8 Same as 4.80-8

Question:

Hi, I am interested in p/n AM 30060, boat trailer tire. My current tire is 4.80x8, 5 on 4.5. Your tire referenced above shows not only 4.80x8, but also 4.00x8. I am curious about the difference and if this tire/ rim will work for me. Thank you in advance! Your website is very informative and the videos are very helpful! Thanks again!

Hey Thomas, this is a great question but the size 4.80-8 is the same as the 4.00-8 which is why it is listed as 4.00/4.80-8. This the correct size for you need based on it's bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2 inch as well.
