Does Hole Need to Be Modified to Fit Greystone 31" Electric Fireplace if It's Larger Than Original

Question:

I ordwred a replacement electric fireplace for my rockwood 2017 trailer it arrived works but my son tells me it is a little larger than the original so it dies not fit. Any thoughts. I am handy enough to modify the hole but he is not.

Hey Mark, thanks for your recent purchase of the Greystone 31" Electric Fireplace # 324-000075!

Replacement fireplaces rarely are an exact fit for the originals, which is one reason why we try to list the cutout sizes.

The nice thing is that it's a little larger, so modifying the hole by cutting it out will be a little easier than trying to frame the hole in more to make it compatible.

I wish I had a trim kit or something that I could tell you would make it fit perfectly, but unfortunately that's not the case.

Hey Mark, how did things go with modifying the opening for your Greystone 31 electric fireplace? It sounds like the size difference was small enough to work around. Sharing how it turned out could help others facing the same fit issue.
