Question:

Hello, Im looking for a fireplace for our new to us rig. Its a 2016 palomino Columbus by Forest River. The previous owners took the fire place out. When looking at your website for the fireplace for our rig, the measurements arent quite the same. So I have a question if Im measuring correctly for this unit. There has been no mods to the opening. They just walled the opening. Thanks.

Congrats on the new camper, Steve!

That's a really good question. Doe the width you want to go based off the cut out size. The new fireplace will most likely wont be the exact same size as the original one. The new fireplace will come with a frame so that it will hide any gaps you may have. I included some pictures from part # 324-000075 where you can see what it looks like with and without the frame.

You do want to check the depth in mind as well but I've personally never seen it be an issue by just going off the width. But, it's always good to know and compare when looking.

What is the width of your cutout for the fireplace?

Hey Steve, were you able to measure the width of the fireplace cutout in your Columbus? Once you had that number, did the 31-inch Greystone fireplace end up being a good fit? Your update could make it easier for others replacing a fireplace in a similar rig.
