Troubleshooting Right Turn/Stop Circuit Not Working on 7-Way

Question:
On my 2006 GMC sierra 1500, My 7 pin trailer connector everything works, except I’m not getting a brake light through the green terminal, which is for the right turn signal and brake light. Everything else works what What could be the problem?

Hey Steve, first thing to check is try cleaning the pins of the 7-way with sandpaper as it's pretty common for dirt or corrosion to cause this problem. Next check the wiring behind the 7-way and see if there's anything there you can clean up.
Next check fuses under the hood of the Sierra. It could also be a problem with the 7-way which we have with the part # HM40975 as a replacement.
