Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 07/30/2024

Question:

Hi I have 2023 jeep wrangler rubicon 392 and wanting to tow behind my motorhome. I already have the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - RV Mount - 8K, what else do I need to tow it? Thanks

Hey Mitch,

Aside from your Nighthawk Tow Bar you'll need the following components:

Baseplate: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Since you should already have the 7-way cable and 6-pole socket you should just need the diodes and wiring # RM-152 to transfer your light signals. If you have ParkSense proximity sensors you'll need the # RM47ZR instead.

Braking System: If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then you'll want the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251. This system will have an indicator light to tap into the brake light switch, which unfortunately isn't useable in your Jeep so you'll need to install the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751490 for the signal to the light.

If your motorhome has air brakes then you'll want the Demco Air Force One # SM99243 instead. This won't have to tap into the brake light switch.

Hey Mitch, how did your flat tow setup for the Wrangler 392 come together with the Nighthawk tow bar and the other parts listed? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar Jeep and motorhome combo.
