Solution for Needing 1,400 lb Trailer Leaf Spring Close to 22-1/4 inch
Updated 07/30/2024 | Published 07/28/2024 >
Question:
I have an older tandem axle boat trailer with closed eye leaf springs measuring 22 1/4 eye to eye, center to center. I believe they are 1200 or 1500 rating based on the 13 rim, 10 X 2 1/4 wheel hub and 1 1/2 square axle. Any idea where I can find 22 closed eye springs? In not, can I use 22 slipper springs with an open eye end with my current hanger and shackle setup? Thanks in advance... your site is incredibly helpful to us DIY guys.

Hey Thomas, so our best option would be the part # DX93CR which is or a 1,400 lb axle and is 20-7/16 inches long. We don't have any springs in the length you need in any configuration. You'd probably be best off moving your current equalizers in a bit so this spring could fit.
