Can e-Bike Be Loaded on Benton ShiftShow Bike Rack if Battery is Removed

My ebike is 55 lbs and has an 8 lb battery. If I only load up 3 bikes on here can I have the 47 lb ebike loaded with the battery removed?

The 40 lb per bike weight limit listed on the Benton ShiftShow Bike Rack # B94FR has to do with the strength of the cradles themselves, so if you were to load up a 47 lb bike you would still be overloading the cradle.
For your application I recommend checking out the Benton Shifts&Grins Bike Rack instead because it can handle up to 55 lb bikes. The S&G comes in both 2-Bike # B54FR and 4-Bike # B82FR versions depending on how many bikes you need to carry.
I would like to point out that you'll want to remove the battery from your bike even if you have a rack that can handle the weight. The less direct road shock impact you can have on the battery the longer it will last and the better performance you will get from it.
