Will Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack Work in 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch
Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 07/21/2024 >
Question:
Hello, looking for a car hitch rack to transport my ebike. Bike weighs under 40lbs. Would the Kuat Transfer V2 work or the Rocky Mount Monorail platform? My hitch is a 1.25 I have a Hollywood 2 adapter, not sure if that would work on any of these two racks?

Hey Stacey,
I have some good news for you, as an adapter isn't needed at all for your 1-1/4 inch hitch, because what you can do is simply use the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack # KU74FR.
The # KU74FR is designed to work in 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch hitches, so it'll fit perfectly in your hitch and give you a superb rack to carry your bike.
The Transfer is one of the best overall values for a bike rack, has large cradles for the wheels to make it easy to load your bike, and is a wheel-mounted rack which means it grasps your bike by the wheels so there isn't any contact with the frame.
