Hi Melissa,

I'd be happy to get you everything you need to tow your camper. Starting with the hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75726. From there you'll need a 4-pole wire harness to transfer your lights to the trailer. I recommend the Tekonsha # 118449 if you don't have the factory tow package or if you do the Curt # 56042.

If your trailer has brakes then you'll have to upgrade a bit more in order to be able to activate them. You'll need the # ETBC7 to transition to a 7-way connector and a brake controller like the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness # RED52VR. This brake controller will give you a small control knob that you can integrate into the dash using mounting panel # 331-TPSI-002.

From there you'll just need the right ball mount to keep your trailer level while you tow. I've attached a link to one of our help articles below that will walk you through measuring for the correct rise/drop and a link to our ball mount selection.

Hey Melissa, how did things go getting the Draw-Tite hitch and wiring set up on your Highlander for towing your camper? Your update could make it easier for the next person new to towing to get started with the right gear.
