Is Torflex Lift Kit Lance Travel Trailer With #10 Torflex Axle Only Lift Option

Updated 02/17/2026 | Published 06/19/2024

Question:

I have a 2018 Lance 1475 with a single axle apparently Dexter Torflex. 2500lb dry and listed as 3700lb loaded up. Unfortunately we regularly bottom out on driveways - even relatively flat ones - AND are hoping to be able to get off the road for some lightweight boon docking. Problem is the only thing I have been able to identify that will give us any level of lift is the Torflex Lift Kit - Single Axle - 2-5/8inch Lift Dexter Trailer Suspension Parts K71-707-01inch that offers 2 5/8inch of lift. Is this our only option? If so, would a metal fab shop be able to do anything different that would be safe?

Hi Douglas,

Thanks for the photo and since you have the #10 Torflex axle with a 2,300 to 4,000-lb capacity, the only aftermarket option to add lift is indeed the 2-5/8" Torflex Lift Kit - Single Axle # K71-707-01.

This is a pretty good amount even though it doesn't seem like it just based off the number. I wouldn't be able to tell you if a fabricator would be able to offer anything else with more lift that is safe, unfortunately (though even if they could, it would cost a pretty penny).

I would give the # K71-707-01 a go as I think it's going to do a nice job of helping the issue you have with bottoming out.

Hey Douglas, how did things turn out after trying the 2-5/8" Torflex lift kit on your Lance 1475? Did it give you enough clearance to stop bottoming out on driveways? Your update could make it easier for others dealing with the same issue.
