Question:
Hi, Im looking for a good inexpensive kayak carrier to use on a Toyota Rav 4 with factory crossbars. The Kayak is a Pelican RAMX Dual 13 feet. I would prefer not to need to use a tiedown on the front and rear of the car if that is possible I worry about those damaging the car. Can you recommend a good rack?

Hello Gary, thanks for reaching out. For you I recommend the LockRack Series-X Universal Adjustable Watersport Carrier # LR24VR. The LockRack carriers are super versatile. It uses a universal clamp that will work with the factory crossbars on your 2024 Toyota RAV4. This carrier also does not require straps. The robber coated ratcheting arms are secure enough by themselves, so tie downs are not needed. As the name suggests, the carrier is also lockable, and it cannot be opened without the included key. You will find links to our review video for this rack below.
