Questions About The Lippert Center Point System - How Much PSI Per 1,000 lbs?
Updated 06/19/2024 | Published 06/12/2024 >
Question:
What is the maximum trailer GVWR for this system? What is the maximum pressure for the air bags? What is the approximate air pressure per 1,000 of trailer weight? Note that Lippert publishes a recommendation of 2.5 psi per 1,000 of trailer weight AND then they publish 5 psi per 1,000 of trailer weight. Thats a significant difference! What is the manufacturers warranty on this? Does this raise the trailer? if so, how much?

Hello Glenn, thanks for reaching out. The Lippert Center Point System # LC1565401 is designed to work on triple axle trailers with axles rated up to 8,000 lbs each. According to Lippert, the system does not have a specific GVWR as long as your axles are rated for 8K or less.
We have also double checked directly with the techs at Lippert regarding the PSI question. The recommendation directly from them is 5 PSI for every 1,000 lbs. The maximum is 100 PSI but you really should never be anywhere close to that.
When using the Lippert Center Point System, the height of the trailer will be raised by 2". The manufacturers warranty is for 90 days.

You say, I should never be close to that,… The GVWR on my toy hauler is 22,000#. At 5 psi per 1,000# puts me at 110PSI. Your thoughts?
