Lithium Compatible Replacement For A WFCO WF-8955PEC RV Power Center

Question:

I have a 2019 Winnebago 2108DS trailer with a WFCO model WF-8955PEC power converter. I just removed the 2 original lead acid batteries and installed one 230AH LiPo4 from LiTime. It appears that the charger in the power converter is not charging the LiTime battery I see around 13 volts at the battery when plugged into a generator or shore power. The battery level indicators on my switch panel indicate a full battery after just an hour or so of charging, but I believe that is incorrect. Also, what is the best way to monitor the state of charge of the Li battery if the stock 5 light indicator is inaccurate with the lithium battery,

Hey Jeff,

The WFCO WF-8955PEC isn't lithium compatible so that's why your battery isn't fully charging. You can replace the converter section with the Progressive Dynamics # PD4655V and then move the black jumper over to the 'LI' position to properly charge your battery.
