If you want secure storage you can actually take with you, this portable headrest safe gives you both. The removable interior safe slides out when needed, locks in place when installed, and still fits a full-size pistol without taking up much space.
When you're making quick stops where certain items can't come inside, leaving valuables loose in the cabin or tucked into the usual spots creates a problem before you even lock the door. This headrest safe gives you hidden storage with a removable slide-out safe that unlocks from the housing, slides out, and can be carried when needed. The safe locks in place while installed and is TSA compliant for travel and air transport, giving you a fixed storage spot in the vehicle plus a portable safe when the situation calls for it. You can secure your item during the stop, then pull the safe and bring it with you instead of leaving everything behind in the vehicle.
Electronic locks are convenient until a fingerprint read misses, a battery runs low, or you need another access method that works the same way every time. This safe gives you biometric access, keypad entry, and hard key override access, with the biometric system running on two AAA batteries (not included). That gives you quick fingerprint entry when conditions are right, code access when you don't want to rely on the reader, and a physical key as the mechanical backup. During repeated stops, you have more than one way to open the safe and keep using the same storage location without depending on a single entry method.
A portable box sitting somewhere in the vehicle can shift, get moved, or become the next obvious thing to grab once someone finds it. The seat-locking mechanism secures this safe while installed, and the heavy-duty steel construction uses an 18-gauge body with a 16-gauge door around the storage compartment. Once it's mounted, the safe has a defined place in the cabin and the removable inner safe stays locked into the headrest housing until it's intentionally released. Your valuables go back into the same secured location after each stop instead of sliding around the vehicle or ending up in a different hiding spot every time.
Short-term vehicle storage works best when the compartment is sized for the important item, not so large that it becomes a loose catch-all. The interior safe measures 6" tall x 3-1/4" wide x 7-1/2" long and fits a full-size pistol, with padded interior lining to reduce movement and rattling during travel. It also gives you a defined place for cash, passports, medications, jewelry, or electronics when those are the items you need to secure. The cabin stays clear of loose valuables, and the items inside ride in a padded compartment instead of bouncing around while you drive.
Replacing one headrest with a storage safe can draw attention if the front seats suddenly look like they came from different interiors. This bundle includes a companion headrest, and the leatherette exterior uses a tan pleather-style finish for a coordinated look. That gives the safe side and the other front seat a more coordinated look, even when the removable safe is out of the housing. From outside the vehicle, the front seats continue to look like they belong together, and the storage location draws less attention through the windows.

Hi, everyone. Steve here, with the etrailer. Let's take a look at the Headrest Safe, Slide Car Safe, in leatherette tan color. So if you're constantly traveling with valuables in your vehicles, one of the biggest concerns is keepin' them secure without makin' it obvious there's something to steal inside the vehicle, right So a lotta times, we're puttin' stuff in glove boxes, under-the-seat storage areas, maybe just puttin' a blanket over stuff in the back. That's a thing of the past. So this is a complete universal headrest system, and it does feature a safe in the, what I'm going to do today, is the passenger side.
That way, if you're sittin' in the driver's seat, you can reach over and then simply pop open the door, and now you can access the safe. So let me come around here and let's take a look at this. So again, folks, instead of relyin' on those glove boxes and things that are just really easy to get out, why not replace your headrest with a nice headrest safe So as you can see, it closes up nice. When you need to get to it, you simply pull it open. You can use a biometric.
And then you can open it with ease. And it's pretty deep inside of here, it's about 7-and-1/2-inches deep, 6-inches tall, and roughly 3-and-1/4-inches wide. And the back here, there's even a piece of foam you can pull out that is made to support the end of like a concealed carry pistol. So that would kinda slide inside of here and help things from rattlin' around. So if you take that out, you have even more space back in there if you don't need that.
And with this particular unit, you can actually slide the whole safe out with the door open. So I'm gonna go ahead and slide this out all the way and get us a better look. So this is the actual safe itself. (safe door clicking) You can see, it's got a nice carrying handle, if it's time to carry it away and you wanna take it back inside the house maybe or something. You do have three options.
You have the biometrics I just mentioned to unlock it or lock it. (safe door clicking) You have a PIN code here you can program to do a PIN. And then you can take off these two set screws here, remove the cap, and behind the cap is the hidden spot where the actual key inserts. So if for some reason the batteries we inchesre to die, you can still get in there with the key if needed. And you can see on the bottom, (knocking safe) everything here is heavy-duty steel. To slide it back in, it does need to be open because there's a little latch here that when you close it, locks it in from slidin' back out. So I get my headrest back here, I just line up the grooves here, push it back in place. Now I can lock it up, and then I'm good to go. Now, on the bottom, on both headrests, you're gonna have these arms that are gonna replace the arms on your factory headrest. And there's some slots down here, I don't know if you can see 'em, but you could technically move this in or out to make it wider or as thin as you need it. And that's gonna make it universal. So again, it's gonna fit pretty much any car, truck, SUV out there. And then they give you a pack of these little plastic spacers for each headrest. And that's gonna be to help fill up any space, if there's a large gap in the one you took out, or just to give it a more flush, clean look around the base of the metal bar here. So again, this version is a tan leatherette finish, makin' a great match for most trucks, SUVs, and luxury style interiors. Again, this is a leatherette tan. We do carry these in multiple colors as well, so check 'em out. That's the Headrest Safe. I'm Steven, with etrailer. Thanks for watchin'.
