Question:
Texted with question regarding boat trailer hydraulic brakes with a Unique Functional Products drum. UFP was bought out by Dexter. Current applicable Dexter numbers may be K23-312-00 Left and K23-313-00 right for the correct assembly. Are these compatible/same as your T4423500-400?

Expert Reply:
Hey James,
The # T4423500-400 is slightly different because it's free-backing, has a 3,750lb capacity instead of 3,500lb capacity, and has a Galphorite finish. The K23-312-00 and K23-313-00 can be purchased with part # 23-312-313. If you're wanting a better finish to help fight corrosion since this is a boat trailer I'd go with the Hydraulic Brake Kit # AKFBBRK-35-D. These assemblies are free-backing an come with a Dacromet finish for a superior corrosion resistance.
