Is It Okay The Lid On MaxxAir 4400 Does Not Fully Open With Vent Cover Installed?

Question:
Hello I have MaxxAir 4400 rain sensing air vents on my 2021 Alpine 3910RK I bought the 955002 Black MaxxAir Fanmate vent covers. When on they do not allow the automatic vent cover to open fully. My question is this normal or did I purchase the wrong vent covers? Dave

Expert Reply:
Your MaxxAir 4400 on your 2021 Alpine 3910RK is still going to operate correctly even without the lid fully opening with the MaxxAir FanMate RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA00-955002. The lid on your fan only needs to open 50% to allow for the full circulation rating on your fan. You did select the correct vent cover for your fan.
