Will this fit a Maxx Air 00-04900K? It looks like the lid opens to 12inch

The MaxxAir FanMate RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA00-955002 will fit your MaxxAir 00-04900K, but it will not allow the lid to fully open. This is a clearance issue that is the same for every other RV roof vent on the market. Manufacturers will not build these covers taller than an RV air conditioner would sit to avoid hitting anything. The manufacturers have stated that it will not affect the ability of the vent or cause issues with any lift arm motors so there's nothing to worry about.

my roof vent opens 12 inches, if i buy maxxair fanmate cover will it open and not destroy the cover on the camper. or is there something i have to do to the vent before i can open it up.

@GeraldR The MaxxAir FanMate RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA00-955002 will not allow the vent lid to fully open due to the height of the cover. If you have an electric lift the lift arm should detect the resistance and stop and prevent any damage from occurring. There would be noting that you would have to do.
