Recommended Replacement Hubs For BT-150 Trailer Idler Hubs

Question:

Im looking for a set of greaseable hubs for my boat trailer. There is currently a set of reliable BT 150 A oil filled hubs on the trailer. The bearings are not stamped but the spindle has a 1 1/16 inch diameter. Hope this is enough info to get a replacement. Thanks

Hey Dave,

Looks like the BT-150 uses # L44649 bearings so you would be able to swap the hub out with the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2K Axles # AKIHUB-545-2-G-EZ-2K. This comes with a # 10-9 grease seal, which has a 1.5" inner diameter. I'm seeing that the BT-150 could come with either a 1.25" or 1.5" inner diameter grease seal so you'll want to measure point B on the diagram below with a caliper # PTW80157 to ensure this is the correct fit.

Hi Kevin Looks like the grease seal is 1.25 inch inside diameter the hub comes with a 1.5 inch seal is there a part number for the 1.25 inch seal. I'll order that one aswell just to be sure Thanks Dave

@Dave Since you have the 1.25" spindle you'll have to go with the CE Smith Trailer Idler Hub Assembly w/ Case for 2.7K Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized - Pre-Greased # CE13315 instead. This uses the # L44649 bearing for inner and outer and comes with a # 34823 grease seal that has a 1.25" inner diameter.

@Dave Based on the dimensions you gave the # CE13315 would be the only option we offer with compatible bearings and grease seal. What exactly do you mean by "short hub"? What is preventing these from working with your trailer?
